Rocketeer — Sat, 20/03/2010 - 1:30am
The Great Space Debate was held at Reading University on Thursday evening:
The objectives of the Great Space Debate 2010 were:
- To investigate the practicalities of journeying into outer space
- To consider whether the cost benefit of space exploration is worthwhile
- To argue the case for and against leaving planet Earth
- To consider colonisation of other planets
- To consider the implications for future generations
Astronautics lecturer Dr Chris Welch liveblogged on Twitter about the event (search for hashtag #gsd2010).
